I remember so many of you from band and other school activities.  You have a great site and way to communicate. My long-time friend Bob Englert told me about this so I took the opportunity to check it out and I’m glad I did.
Best wishes always.

What a wonderful tribute to my alma mater, class of 67. My dad, Jim Binkley, was an English teacher at Fairview. Dan Wolfe contacted me to find Dad. Sadly he died 5 years ago, but next week Dan plans to talk with my mom who is in Beavercreek visiting family. Dad loved FHS and he would be proud to be remembered.

This is the best!!  My mind is flooding with memories of all of you, the school, I get so melancholy looking at and reading it all.  Thanks to you for taking the time to bring it all back.

To all- Does anyone else remember when we were freshman, and Jack Berkmeier  did the morning announcements, and came on and said "Good morning FHS, Today is S-H-I-T, Sure Happy It's  Thursday"- and the loudspeaker went dead. It was a great introducton the humor of FHS! Andy

What can I say?  Words cannot express the emotions I am feeling especially when I saw pictures of Mr. Bruggeman, my Beginning French and Etymology teacher.  The students in the class of 1966 might have been some of his first students but I was one of his last at Fairview.  Oh, the memories of trying french dishes prepared by fellow students and learning the Greek alphabet.  Don't ask me to recite them now!!

The pictures of the 11/11/2009 Field Trip brought so much joy and sorrow to me since our school is slated for the wrecking ball later this year.  I wish I could have been there.

There is only one thing to say: "Add a webpage with links to other Fairview alumni sites, i.e., Facebook's Fairview listing, etc. and a page for alumni and staff that are no longer with us".

Other than that, my heartfelt thanks for letting me  relive some of my fondest memories of the greatest high school in Dayton.

Jeri:

I have just finished catching up on all the additions that have been made to the site and it's content.  Boy, my hat is off to you folks who have transformed the Fairview66 site from a vision to what it is today: a wonderful link to our common past.  Please also pass along my thanks to Dan Wolfe for his great story of a visit with Mr. Bruggeman, a teacher who made a difference to him.

I marvel at the talent, creativity and dedication that continues to pour forth from our classmates.  It was an honor to attend FHS with you all and I'll bet Nancy Marker would be as proud of you as I am.

My very best regards,
Marc

Marlene, thanks so much for your kind words. The committee really apreciates it! It has been fun working on the site. It is wonderful to hear from you and hope we can get more classmates to make an entry on this page. Having many entries would be an interesting addition for other classmates. It's a great way to keep in touch with everyone. Again, so good to hear from you and thanks for writng an entry!

Come on classmates — let's hear from you!  As Marlene said, we may be 61 but we are the "new"  41. So let's show it. Go Bulldogs!!

Thanks to Mike Levitt - I just heard about the new website. It is really terrific. Thanks to all who have worked so hard to make this such a user friendly site. I look forward to checking in often to learn what people are up to.  It is hard to believe that we are now 61 - but I guess since 60 is the new 40 - we are really only 41!!!
